How does the 3D OCT-1 Maestro Work?
The 3D OCT-1 Maestro is an FDA cleared, state-of-the-art piece of equipment that is ushering in a new standard of eye care! The Maestro gives a precise, accurate, and informative viewing of the inside of the eye, including: the retina, anterior eye, and optic nerve! The Maestro combines spectral domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) and fundus photography, while offering rapid, wide-field scanning. By combining real time imaging and tracking for 3D analysis, the Maestro offers quick and easy diagnostic testing for common ocular conditions. The genius of the Maestro allows our physicians to see more than what has ever been seen before!
Benefits of the 3D OCT-1 Maestro
The 3D OCT-1 Maestro is a patient-friendly, innovative, and multifunctional piece of equipment that is designed to perform many diagnostic tests simultaneously. By reducing the need for numerous machines and separate testing, patients are offered more convenience during a comprehensive evaluation. The amazing technological advances and functionality of the Maestro has a great impact on the diagnosis and analysis of our patients! This includes:
-
-
Fully Automated and Simultaneous Scanning and Images
The Maestro allows for auto alignment, focus, optimization, and capture to produce amazing images both quickly and correctly. By scanning both eyes at the same time, all tests are performed efficiently for the comfort of our patients. While performing an OCT of the optic nerve or macula, the Maestro also takes a simultaneous true color fundus photo, which includes visualization of the retina, optic disc, and macula. With advanced Pinpoint™ technology, the Maestro indicates the location of the OCT image within the fundus photo for accurate and fundamental analysis of the results. Additionally, the Maestro is also capable of performing a peripheral fundus photo that uses 9 points of fixation to compose one total overview of the fundus.

High Quality and High Resolution Scans and Photography
The Maestro produces amazing wide field scans and 3D graphics, which becomes an important tool for observing, evaluating, and diagnosing various pathology and conditions. This includes, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and macular edema, among others.

Comprehensive Analysis and Reporting
Upon completion of the diagnostic testing, Dr. Orazio L. Giliberti, FACS is able to immediately give patients a comprehensive assessment of their results on a large computer monitor. Patients are able to better understand their condition when illustrated with the aid of crystal clear 2D and 3D images, as well as live video-imaging results.
