Did You Know?
At Giliberti Eye and Laser Center, we offer our patients a no-cut laser vision correction procedure, known as Photorefractive Keratectomy, or PRK! This type of procedure does not involve cutting a flap in the cornea, which is the method used during LASIK. During the PRK procedure, a surgical brush is used to gently remove the outermost layer of cells on your cornea, called the epithelium. This prepares the area for laser treatment! [2]
For the ease and comfort of our patients, Giliberti Eye and Laser Center has a conveniently located Laser Vision Correction Suite on the second floor of our office in Totowa, New Jersey! With a state-of-the-art VISX Star S4 IR® Excimer Laser and the WaveScan WaveFront® diagnostic system, Dr. Orazio L. Giliberti personally performs all procedures and offers custom care in the latest methods of refractive surgery procedures.
Dr. Giliberti, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist by the American Board of Ophthalmology, is a trusted figure in the community for over 32 years! He was trained in laser vision correction in Canada, prior to FDA approval in the United States. He was also the first ophthalmologist in New Jersey to receive training in Toronto directly with VISX, the world’s leading eye laser company and one of the pioneers of excimer laser systems.
Giliberti Eye and Laser Center is proud to provide laser vision correction patients with precision and experience! In our practice, candidacy for no-cut laser vision correction can be evaluated with a thorough and comprehensive examination with Dr. Giliberti. Eligibility can depend on factors such as age, severity of vision loss, and type of vision correction required.
